Story of Hui Lau Shan
Established in Hong Kong in the 1960s, the eatery first started by offering traditional desserts of guilinggao and herbal drinks, but has since expanded its menu to include fruity desserts, frozen delights, and savoury titbits. The star ingredient in their desserts is the mango, specially flown from the Philippines to serenade diners with syrupy melodies on waiting plates of mochi, pancakes, and icy sagos. Hui Lau Shan has garnered multiple accolades including the 2012 Hong Kong Famous Brand, 2011 King of Dessert, 2011 U Favourite Food Award, 2012 King of Dessert, and SMEs Best Brands in F&B: Dessert at The Brand Laureate SMEs Best Brands Award 2013 in Malaysia. Their central kitchen was also certified by JAKIM as Halal in Oct 2013
